Hub Berkeley Weekly Roll Up: Pitch, Stretch, Eat, and Battle Space Aliens

Good Mix this Week.

Is your pitch made to stick? If you’re unsure, join us this Wednesday for a casual Hub Lab Sexy Salad Practice Pitch – we’re going to open the table for people to practice their pitch/storytelling and more. After people give you feedback with their mouths full, hopefully you’ll take away some gems that can make your story stronger. And after a hard week of work, why not get a stretch in?

We are officially having Hub Wellness – Yoga offered every Friday at 11:30 AM. What better way to restore yourself for the weekend? Our wonderful instructor, Ekabhumi from Mandala Yoga, will lead this pre-lunch session; he’s a great instructor, and very beginner friendly (I took my first ever yoga class with him – never felt more welcome and at ease). He will be returning for the next few Fridays, so don’t miss out! Dress comfortably, and look out for the location in the David Brower Center!

After some mindfulness, a wine down with Fair Trade Chocolate would be nice, no? Fair Trade USA will be donating chocolate for this Friday’s wine down, and yes, we will be making Sangria again!

Also, some extra goodies:

1. Hear from the CEO of Care2 for FREE this Wednesday: Discount Code: Ask Hosts

2. Go to this Fashion Event for FREE ($100 ticket!) as a Volunteer! Sign Up Here.

Lastly, we’re closed next Monday for Independence Day. I leave you with this:

Your Welcome,

Jeff

Hub Stories

“He decided to create a website where all his personal information would go up online: he would be completely transparent and try to prove his innocence. He posted all his bank transactions, posted all of his telephone logs, and wore a GPS bracelet so you could track him at any particular time in any particular place. He’s been on the watch list for seven years, and he’s only one of two people that we’re aware of that has been that interrogated by the FBI that hasn’t landed in Guantanamo for being a potential terrorist.” Continue Reading –>
