I feel great! I am proud to announce that we are the winners of the Blitz Bazaar Good Action playoffs! We mopped the floor with those impact-pushing Netsters, in a friendly way of course. I’d like to thank everyone who participated and for all the good deeds they did along the way. There will hopefully be another competition (perhaps inter-Hub based) coming up. I also wanted to thank Lloyd Nimetz, the creator of the system and Amie Vaccaro and Rebecca Petzel who helped push the team along. Thanks again everyone!
Next, I am very excited to let you all know that Jeff Shiau will be your new Head Host at Hub Berkeley, stepping into the big shoes left by Meredith. He’s been steadily trained over the last few months to speak, laugh, walk, eat, type, drink, and connect exactly like Meredith, so none of you should really experience any major shift. 🙂 Jeff is an incredibly talented, enthusiastic, passionate, playful fellow with unlimited ideas, so if you haven’t already, please pull him aside for a chat and let him know what you’re doing so he can better help create value for you through The Hub network.
As of this week, we have a new service in the Hub from Laundry Locker. On the site you can clearly see how it works and what we are offered. We have an On-Demand location, therefore some of the weight and time requirements are waived. Chris Moreno will be at the Sexy Salad Lunch on Wednesday, so join us and ask any questions you might have. If you have a few extra hangers sitting around at home counting their days till the dump, we would love to use them. Below is a list of the 4 ways you can place an order:
1) Click PLACE AN ORDER at laundrylocker.com
2) By Phone: 415 255 7500
3) Email firstname.lastname@example.org
4) Text the word LAUNDRY to MOSIO (66746)
Finally, the 3rd Annual Chronicle BBQ is this Thursday (see below). Come and meet your neighbors – some of the City’s most creative and innovative artists, makers, entrepreneurs and writers. See a unique view of the City, while enjoying great burgers and hot dogs from Hearst Ranch (or a veggie burger), chips and soda.
That’s all for now. The space seems kind of empty these days. Is there something going on I should know about?
Of everyone who reads this, I like you the best.
