Intersection for the Arts, San Francisco’s oldest non-profit alternative arts space, celebrates its 45th Anniversary on Saturday, June 12, 2010. From 7-10pm, Hub SoMa joins its collaborative partner for a special evening celebrating artists, community, activism, and social change.
Attendance and support will help raise the critical funds needed to support Intersection for the Arts’ performance, exhibition, jazz, education and artists’ resource programs. Intersection will also be able to continue to provide a space for artists, youth, and the community.
In commemoration of this profound milestone, Intersection is planning an inspired evening that will include a lively art auction, live entertainment, exquisite wine and food and the invaluable opportunity to support Intersection in a breakthrough year.
The fundraiser will take place in the historic Chronicle Building at 5th and Mission Street, the site of our exciting new satellite gallery, Intersection at 5M. It is the beginning of a radical new cross-sector collaboration with entrepreneurs and innovators who are working to build and scale solutions for social change.
The gala also marks the inaugural year of Intersection’s ChangeMaker Awards. These awards will honor artists and organizations having a profound impact in the world. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on art from over 60 of the Bay Area’s most celebrated visual artists, with highlights including Binh Danh, Ala Ebtekar, Taraneh Hemami, Misako Inaoka Aaron Noble, Deborah Oropallo, Andrew Schoultz.
Please don’t forget to RSVP.
