Hub Weekly Roll-Up: Celebrating 23 Social Enterprises and Teen Entrepreneurs

Recent Hub staff addition, Kristy Graves, here.  (This is my first post here, so bear with me.)  Tax Day and Hub SoMa opening preparations seem to have yielded a quieter event week around the Hub.  Not to worry, exciting things are happening, and brewing…

We have a full plate Wednesday in Berkeley, starting with Sexy Salad lunch.  In the evening, West Coast Village Capital will be closing out and celebrating their inaugural entrepreneur program.  If you have been in Hub Berkeley at all the past 12 weeks, I’d put money on you’ve met Santiago and learned about Senda Athletics.  He is one of 23 social enterprises, competing for one of up to ten $25K or $75K investments from First Light Capital.  Join us in the Gallery downstairs, as the entrepreneurs themselves decide on the winners, and stay to celebrate and hear more about their experience.

And on Thursday (after your taxes are done), come by the Hub to meet some up and coming, next generation of entrepreneurs.  We will be showcasing excerpts of Ten9Eight, an inspiring new film featuring teen entrepreneurs, followed by small group interactive discussion and presentations.

More on this week’s events and what’s coming up on our Events Calendar.

Oh!  Almost forgot.  For those of you interested in Hub SoMa, keep an eye on your inbox.  We’ll be revealing more details about the space, specials, and celebrations.  Stay tuned!
